WELCOME TO G.H.O.S.T.

First Name last initial: Amy C.

Location of Story: My Home - Georgetown, TN

Story: When I was around eight years old I was sitting on the floor of my bedroom playing with My Little Pony's. The door to my room was open and I was sitting facing toward the hall. I heard my mother working in the back bedroom so i knew she was there. We were the only ones at home at the time. As i was playing with my ponies I noticed someone coming down the hall. I looked up and saw a woman in a long flowered dress and bonnet walking ( or rather floating as I don't recall feet) past my room and carrying a candle. I stood up and peered out the door but there was no one there. Although I knew my mother was in the back room I called down the hall and asked if she had just walked past. She said she had not. The oddest thought had been that my mother was wearing this old fashioned dress we had in the attic and was carrying a candle because she liked old fashioned things. This was my mind's way of explaining it at such a young age even though it made no sense.
However my mother was in the back room working the whole time and I knew this because I heard he back there. Although I have had other experiences in the house this was the only time I saw this particular figure. I live in the same house today and have not seen it since.

First Name last initial: Spook D.

Location of Story: McNabb Cemetery at Raccoon Mtn. TVA Power Plant. Alabama

Story: This story happened on October 31, 2006 at midnight. An old family cemetery, the McNabb Cemetery, located just as you enter into the Raccoon Mtn. TVA power plant was to be our destination that night. It has become a peaceful place for me as I enjoy fishing in and around that area and have visited the cemetery many times to admire its peacefulness and quaintness. I mentioned it to a friend at work, how when at night as you drive up the gravel hill to it and just as you reach the top and your headlights light it up, many reflections off of small ornaments and headstones give it an eery atmosphere. Since there are no lights there other than those you would bring my friend thought it would be a great place to visit on Halloween. So he, his wife, myself, and a friend of theirs decided to go after we got off of work (we work second shift). We had decided to bring a couple of coat hangers we fashioned into dowsing rods and a video camera. Trying to ignore our anxiety as we entered into the cemetery, we got out and went onto the grounds. To make a long story short I'll just tell about the strange happenings we encountered.First, as we approached the middle of the grounds (we were surrounded by woods on all sides, no automobile traffic, and remember, no lights- totally quiet) my friend called out and explained we meant no disrespect or harm and that we were only there to communicate. Mind you, none of us are investigators. As we huddled into a tight circle we felt the wind calmly blow. I wear shorts throughout the year and was wearing them that night. As my friend finished speaking and the wind eased away, I began to feel a chill in the air from the ground up. My legs began to become very cold and before long we could see our breaths in the air. All of us experienced the same temperature drop. Before that we had not noticed being able to.After that we all walked to a grave and my friend who had the two coat hangers was next to me. We suggested he try them out and as he stuck them out in front of us they !
began to
move. Now, he was only holding them between his index fingers and thumbs so he did not have enough strength or influence over them to cause what happened next. In a split second the two ends crossed each other and then suddently snapped back in the opposite direction and almost touched then. I did NOT notice his hands, arms, or fingers move at all. He was right next to me and our arms and shoulders were touching. We ran back to the car and got in. We had to talk each other into going back out. Through all of this we never felt a bad feeling. When we got back out we walked toward some graves of children. On top of them were small ceramic objects like lambs and toy cars. These had partly caused the glitter of light we saw as our headlights breached over the hill when we arrived. We noticed small paper pinwheels stuck into the ground at different places and over into a corner not too far away from where we were there was a flag pole with an American flag hanging from it. The flag pole might have been twenty feet high, however the surrounding trees were much taller. We didn't think much about any of the decorations but as we started to leave my friend who had addressed the cemetery when we arrived began to say that we were leaving. As we began to walk away from the children's graves a breeze we did NOT feel in the air began to spin them. They spun fast as if a wind we would definately be able to feel was the cause. I told them to look up at the trees. None of the leaves were moving which only added to the fact that we hadn't felt that breeze. Just as we were looking up we noticed the American flag began to move as well. Still the leaves in the trees didn't and some were no more than a few feet away from the flag. We got this on camera. We got spooked again and finished walking to the car. We could still see the flag and pinwheels from there and noticed they had stopped moving. As I have mentioned, we never felt anything bad and I believe if anything did happen it was because my friend had said we were ther!
e only t
o communicate and meant no harm. I feel we had our communication from the sudden chill from the ground up and immediate drop in temperature. Also the movements of the pinwheels and the American flag without wind were clear signs to us that we were being communicated with. I hope this story can give you an idea of what I and my friends experienced last Halloween. Good luck!

The staff of G.H.O.S.T. must reinforce the fact that we do not condone entering cemeteries or other locations without expressed permission from proper location authorities.
